Charoite gemstone barrels are wonderfully variegated with naturally occurring swirls, feathers and mottled streaks in many shades of lilac, violet, and deep purple. Barrels are accented with hand-faceted “Amethyst” purple Agate rondelles, amethyst lead crystals, and dark purple Swarovski crystal pearls.
Charoite (aka Charolite) is found in only one location in the whole world: a remote region along the Chara River in Eastern Siberia. Interlocking crystalline needles within the gemstone give Charoite a very distinctive appearance and depth; a pearly, even chatoyant luster.
