Larvikite (a.k.a. Black Labradorite) is a beautiful charcoal grey gemstone that exhibits silvery flashes and a steely chatoyant iridescence. This unique crystal is only found around the Fjords of Larvik Norway (hence the name “Larvikite”) and is marketed under a variety of trade names such as; Black Labradorite, Blue Norwegian Moonstone, Norwegian Pearl Granite, Birds Eye Granite, Black Moonstone, Blue Pearl Granite, among others.
