This is Pastel Dumortierite Quartz from Mozambique Africa. The puffed square gemstones are patterned in variegated shades of blue and pastel violet. They are accented with herringbone drilled peacock freshwater Pearls and centered on five rows of soft grey glass rocailles.
Quartz occurs in a wide range of colors however, naturally occurring blue quartz is rare. Even more rare is Pastel Dumortierite (most Dumortierite is predominantly dark blue). Dumortierite is characterized by its swirling patterns of dark to light blue blended and streaked with other colors including red-brown and violet-blue.
