Double strand bracelet of created Rainbow Hematite is accented with 14k gold plated mirror beads and finished with a ½” extender chain of 14k gold plated heart shaped links. These tiny tube-shape beads have the same chemical make up as natural Hematite, but will not chip or break. The beautiful, iridescent, Aurora Borealis effect is achieved with a metallic coating of Titanium.
Genuine Rainbow Hematite is very brittle. It flakes, chips, and breaks easily making it difficult (and impractical) for many jewelry designs. For that reason, much of the Rainbow Hematite used in jewelry is man-made.
